Adult dance: Questions & Answers
How do I join?
Buy a full block or a 2-week trial by clicking on the class on the adult class timetable or selecting it on the online shop page. If the block hasn't started yet you need to use a TRIAL code to get a 2-week price. If the class started, only 2-week trials are sold. If you have trouble paying online, just get in touch. We cannot take payments over the phone though.
I clicked on a dance class on the timetable but it leads to no product found?
The sales for that block have not started yet. Check the top of Adult dance page for sale start date.
How do I get a discount?
Use the relevant discount code by typing it on the coupon code section on the cart page. You get a discount for taking more than one block or level 1-2 + choreography class. Students have their own discount codes. You can find all codes here.
I don't have Paypal, how do I Pay?
After clicking checkout you are directed to PayPal page. On that page you should see an option Check out as Guest or Pay by debit or Credit card option which means you can just use your bank card details. If this option is not visible to you, please get in touch and we'll give you another way to pay.
What happens after I've finished a 2-week dance trial?
If there are still one or two weeks left of the block and you want to continue, you can top up at the studio in cash at your last trial class, trial rate still applies (£7 for 1 week left, £14 for 2 weeks left).
What if I miss a class?
We offer the opportunity to make up missed classes by a certain date, often by end of term. This means you can take another class for free, not the same one you've missed. For example if over Block 1 you missed a street level 1-2 class, you cannot make up taking a street 1-2 class in Block 2. You can take street 2-3 choreography class if the level is appropriate for you, or any other dance style class or barre. You cannot make up a dance class taking Pilates or Ballet Fitness. Refunds are not given for missed classes. This system ensures we are financially able to keep the classes running.
Which level suits me?
Levels 1 and mixed 1-2 are for complete beginners and people with some previous experience (beginners and improvers)
Level 1-3 is open for all levels
Level 2-3 choreography classes focus on learning dance pieces. They are open to anyone of improver/intermediate level.
If you're still unsure which level is best, join the easier one and the teacher can transfer you up a level mid-block if she feels the higher level is more suitable.
What are the online groups?
They are closed Facebook groups for each class you can request to join. This is where we can post videos and photos of the class. If you miss a class or want to come for a make up, this is the best place to post. You can find links to all groups here.
Do I have to perform at End of Term Show?
All students are encouraged to take part and perform in our end of term shows but it is not expected of any student.
