Maureen is originally from Canada and has had the privilege of living all over the world before recently finding her new home in Dundee. She has been a teacher in various capacities throughout her life, from instructing skiing in the Canadian mountains, to teaching primary school children in Ghana and now teaching yoga wherever she can. Maureen started practicing over 20 years ago, and was hooked immediately. She loves the way this practice brings peace radiance to so many areas of her life. Maureen enjoys the challenge and the physical and mental shift that yoga creates, and loves being upside-down as much as possible! She practiced and trained in Ashtanga and Vinyasa with Karen Kirkness and later went on to be qualified in her Avid Yogi YTT 200 hrs. Maureen then lived and taught yoga in Edinburgh at Meadowlark from 2013 until her recent move to Dundee.
Maureen's yoga class is a vinyasa flow class with variations and modifications for all levels of experience and energy. You can expect creative sequencing of classic standing and balance postures, some longer held restorative asanas and energising inversions.
