BBO dance syllabus
Our dance teacher Rachel Harris has completed her Level 6 Extended teacher training with British Ballet Organisation Dance. We are now teaching BBO syllabus in our Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Contemporary classes, which we are can offer the students the opportunity to be put in for exams. BBOdance is an international awarding organisation, delivering a world-renowned training and qualification programme. More about bbodance history and Syllabus can be found at their website.
We will be offering our students the opportunity to take examinations, however this will not be a requirement and will be completely optional. BBOdance offers a range of examinations and assessments which will open doors for students of all ages and abilities, nationally and internationally. The examinations in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz are designed to maximise enjoyment, whilst building a technical foundation and encouraging expression and creativity.
Access and Diversity
We recognise that students have different reasons for learning to dance. We will be providing different pathways for vocational training and dance for pleasure through:
All students are awarded for their achievements through a Certificate and mark breakdown (where relevant). Students gaining a Performance or Freestyle Award receive a badge, medal or other token of success.
BBOdance is an inclusive organisation and our examinations and assessments are available to everyone. Students with disabilities, special needs or learning difficulties will be given the support they need to achieve and succeed.
